I want to see the 3 ways to deepen my body awareness
Please fill out the Application online for our New MOSCOW training
One hour session, Sign up online for available times.
In depth support and supervision for your somatic skill sets in teaching or your bodywork practice. Fill in the gaps in your knowledge, or developmental awareness. Also goal setting and development of your Somatic business and marketing approach.
Integrate the material we are exploring online with a private video session. Christine can guide you through an embodiment or clarify the material - tailored to your interest and your growth.
Putney Lodging ($20/ night) and meals/ shared paid separately.
A workshop for singers, bodyworkers, therapists and embodiment enthusiasts.
This workshop will offer a deep focus on the areas of the neck and jaw and introduce somatic exercises to support the creation of vowels and consonants as they are formed in the mouth and throat area. We will introduce the anatomy and play with the possibilities of sound creation.
Just about every client and student has significant pain, alignment issues in this area. The Jaw is a common area of holding it can hold stress and is the gateway to eating/nourishment/ kissing, opening and engaging with the world. We will look at the prespinal pattern and add detailed information on nursing and mouthing, which related to food and sex and vocal expression.
The neck, throat and vocal cords coordinate our relationships through sound and word and song. These studies will bring introduce fine bodywork and open up pathways of making sound, as well as communication skills.
The Students of the 2 year Somatic BODY Training will continue on Monday and Tuesday with the Cranial- Sacral Rhythm and other details on integrating this knowledge into the endocrine system and breathing – The CSF is another beautiful key movement coordination fluid in the body! We will see how this ebb and flow relates to the movements in the joints for a whole body movement. We will look in detail at the cranium and the dura, the ventricles and the flow within.
The workshop is taking place in beautiful Packard Manse, 1/2 h south of Boston - (we can share rides) - with beds for overnight stay. There will be a small fee for the overnight stay. We will share food!
Costs are $280/ $250/ $200

Our somatic understanding of fascia is a gateway to understanding self and the relationship between inner and outer space. Not only can we discover aliveness in our tensegrity, our inner guiding strength, we can also learn how to connect into the web of community.
We don't need to employ effort to hold ourselves together! The inherent molecular structure of fascia and ligaments allows for rebound - the elasticity and strength is in the fabric and does not need extra effort. When the ligaments are in flow, awake, alive they provide a support for our actions, which are orchestrated by our muscles. Muscles get to ride on this tensegritous cohesion of the ligaments through our body.
Fascia separates and connects our organs, muscles, nerves and ligaments provide close connection and guidance for our actions - Exploring this layer of tissues can dramatically shift the ways that we hold ourselves and act int he world.
Our senses connect us and illuminate the world for us. In this workshop we will travel through the senses, their embryological origins, their function and integration into our lives. Touch, taste, balance, proprioception, hearing, smelling and vision.
Somatizations and movement explorations will allow students to discover their own pathways of these special senses and their role in development.
… the rhythms of blood, lymph, cranial-sacral, cellular and interstitial fluids set the timing and experience of ourselves. We can allow feelings to be known and express or transform. Join this workshop to rejoin these ancient rivers, this ancient state of awareness and being!
Our WIld Body - Tuning into our intuition, our pheromonal knowing and the alignment of our spiritual self - we will enter into the super-conscious/ unconscious , and certainty of this system. This is a great opportunity to research and balance these powerful forces that set our metabolic balance and allow us to dream and our thoughts to fly.
Sometimes relegated to the mysterious, we will explore ways to access these powers through movement , voice and touch.
Practicing the return into embryonic time allows us to access our being before our nervous system ran the show. It is a time of amazing growth organized by cellular choice making, renewal, change and growth: these can become templates for our lives now and can heal our organism, our neuro-endocrine balance.
Notocordal time (the soft spine appears and disappears before our now spine) is time of moving in the dark - the underwater headless fish that swims side to side. Deep water holds embraces supports buoyancy. IT is less sensing out but feeling one-self moving. the bubbles filled with fluid propelling the body through space. Pressure fields of ocean, currents meet the movement of your body - this embryonic stage supports deep inner knowing, inner focus and movement.
This is the first unit of the MOSCOW Somatic BODY Training - which is open to students of the full program and a few other folks with some background in the field of somatics for single workshops.
Developmentally we are now leaving the ocean and the pre-spinal patterns and moving onto land , therefore growing our cartilage into bones! This support against gravity through the bones and joints allows easeful movement in space.
We will look at the actions at joints and their integration across the body - this sets our mind to perceive clarity and structure in space. This provides the basis for structural repatterning techniques that throughout the program add in the ligaments, muscles and organs.
Our bones harbor and protect the creation of blood in the marrow - so we can embody this depth in our lives. We can also learn more about the aliveness and the ability to constantly rebuild and re- form in our bone tissues - each of our movements in relationship to gravity incite growth. Here we re- define the resilience of these tissues and can offer our clients and students this sense of resilience.
